More Or Fewer: A Partner Activity
In our class this week, we have been talking about the concept of more and fewer. This is a very hard idea for students to grasp! Mostly because ‘fewer’ is a new word–most students know the word ‘less’.
To enrich this topic, today we worked with a (teacher chosen) partner to sort items together and determined which group had more, and which group had fewer.
You could really see the lightbulbs going off as students work with a partner to work through this math concept!
